Edwardian 2.50 Carat Cabochon Sapphire Platinum Ring, circa 1910

Item #: 122AB190.

A delightfully different ring set with a natural and unenhanced cabochon sapphire of a deep, regal blue. Mounted in a delicate, ornate platinum mount featuring a-symmetrical foliate detailing. We believe this started life as a pinkie ring, but being a design that’s both substantial and airy, could work either as an engagement or cocktail ring.

The inside of the band retains it’s original “PLAT” stamped, but has also been recently stamped with comtemporary assay marks.

Cut – Oval shaped cabochon

Clarity – Eye clean.

Carat – Approximately 2.50.

Circa – 1910.

Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The band is 2.6mm at the base, graduating to 10mm at the highest point.

Metal – Platinum. Fully hallmarked.
