Wonderful geometric basketwork and perfectly balanced stepped down baguettes either side of the solitaire holds echoes of the Art Deco period. The ring was originally purchased in 1947 for £4000. According to the Bank of England Inflation Calculator, this is the equivalent of around £140,000 in today’s money.
