Late 20th Century 9.47 Carat Natural Ruby & Diamond Ring, circa 1970
Magnificent. The natural, unheated ruby is the a glowing, rich pigeon blood red and is showcased in the most impressive of rings. With thirty-two brilliant cut and six baguette cut diamonds – all high white, internally clean and incredibly bright – arranged in a double halo. The wire-work gallery leads to a substantial white gold shank. Hugely impressive.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is from Mozambique.
Cut – Cushion cut ruby. The diamonds are round brilliant cuts and baguette cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – Some inclusions in the ruby are visible to the naked eye (as is to be expected in rubies). The diamonds are VS1.
Carat – The ruby is a known 9.47 carat. The total approximate diamond weight approximately 2.70 carat.
Circa – 1970.
Size – J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is approximately 15.80 x 12.87mm. The head of the ring is 25.8 x 21.75mm and sits 11.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
