Retro 1.25 Carat Old European Cut Diamond “Sunburst” Ring, French, circa 1950

An excitingly unique ring. Twenty beautifully shaped “rays” burst from the central old European cut diamond, with each alternating ray topped by an eight-cut diamond. The spray gallery echoes the detail on the head of the ring, leading to a flat, split-shoulder shank. A big and bold ring; exquisitely designed and exquisitely made.

Cut – Old European cut in the centre, with eight-cut diamonds in the surround.

Colour – H.

Clarity – SI1 in the centre, VS1 in the surround.

Carat – The centre diamond is a known 1.00 carat. Each of the smaller diamonds are approximately 0.025 carat.

Circa – 1950.

Size – O 1/2 (UK) or 7.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 16 x 15.8mm and sits 10.4mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold and platinum. Marked.
