Retro 5.65 Carat Natural Cabochon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1955

A glowing natural sapphire takes centre stage in this most impressive of rings. The round cabochon sapphire – certified as natural and without heat treatment – is secured in the centre of a delightfully ornate surround, with forty eight-cut diamonds encircling the stone and running down the triple shoulders. The head of the ring is set high on the band so as to allow a wedding or stacking band to sit flush.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.

Cut – Round cabochon sapphire with eight-cu diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The sapphire is a known 5.65 carat, with approximately 0.40 carat of diamonds.

Circa – 1955.

Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 9.77 x 9.89mm. The ring is 14.5mm at the widest point and sits 11.5mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
