Retro 8.12 Carat Sapphire Ring, circa 1955
An awesomely beautiful sapphire ring. The large oval cut sapphire in the centre displays the perfect blue; rich, strong and almost electrically vivid. The stone is set laterally on the finger within a strikingly unique collet. The four sweeping claws are each set with an eight cut diamond, with a further twelve (six each side) set on the top part of the shoulders, leading to a wide yellow gold shank with platinum shoulders. Strikingly different.
