Art Deco 0.40 Carat Ruby & 0.50 Carat Diamond, circa 1920
A delightful antique ruby and diamond ring. The trio of perfectly matched pigeon blood red rubies sit slightly higher than the surrounding stones. The twelve old cut diamonds are rubover set in milgrained platinum and sit atop a rose gold gallery with sweeping “U” detailing, to a slim rose gold shank.
Cut – Round cut rubies and old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are H to J.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The central ruby is approximately 0.20 carat, with a total approximate ruby weight of 0.40 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.50 carat.
Circa – 1920.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 13.9 x 8.5mm. Sits 5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold and platinum. Tested.
