Art Deco 0.50 Carat Burmese Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1915
An outrageously lovely unheated sapphire solitaire ring. The cushion cut sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Myanmar (Burma) – is a deep, electric blue. The stone is secured in a four claw collet with an open gallery, leading to slim shoulders set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds to a slender 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean, the diamonds are VS.
Carat – The sapphire is 0.50 carat, with approximately 0.05 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1915.
Size – J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 5.3 x 4.2mm. Sits 5.2mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
