Art Deco 0.80 Carat Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1920
An extraordinary early Art Deco diamond cluster ring. At the centre of the cluster – set in such a way that it almost appears to float – is amazingly white and bright old European cut diamond. At the ‘north’ and ‘south’ of the centre stone are two rubover set old cuts, also ‘floating’ within kite shaped voids. A further twelve eight-cut diamonds are set within the finely vented and milgrained surround, with ornamental scroll detailing in the undergallery. On a slender platinum shank.
