Art Deco 0.90 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1920
A wonderfully unique vintage diamond engagement ring. The old cut diamond in the centre – weighing a known 0.90 carat – is impressively bright and lively. The stone is secured by four triple-claws at each “corner” of the diamond, within a etched and shaped gallery. The impressive shoulders feature two rows of three eight-cut diamonds with a fine vent between each row, leading to a slender knife edged platinum shank.

Cut – Old European cut in the centre, with eight-cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – The centre diamond is K. The smaller diamonds are E to F.
Clarity – The centre is VS2. The smaller diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The centre is 0.90 carat, with a further approximate 0.18 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1920.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The centre is approximately 6 x 5.7mm and sits 6.1mm from the finger.
Metal – Stamped 10%IRID.PLAT inside the band, indicating 10% iridium and 90% platinum, and tests as such.
