Art Deco 0.75 Carat Old Oval Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1930
An absolutely wonderful old oval cut diamond engagement ring. The beautifully proportion central diamond – graded by HRD Antwerp as G colour, VS2 clarity – is dazzlingly white and bright and, unlike modern oval cuts, isn’t afflicted by the dreaded “bow-tie” effect. The diamond is secured in a four claw platinum collet with an open gallery, allowing maximum light to pass through the stone. The yellow gold spear-shaped shoulders are set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds of graduating size, to a slim yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a Natural Diamond Grading Report from HRD Antwerp (#210000182425).
