Art Deco 1.00 Carat Rose Cut Diamond Drop Earrings, circa 1935
A glorious pair of vintage rose cut diamond drop earrings. Each of the icy and bright larger rose cuts are secured in an eight-claw white gold collet with an open gallery above a scalloped back-plate. These diamonds dangle from a linking bar crafted in 18k yellow gold, which is topped by a further (smaller) rose cut diamond. On hinged lever backed settings.
Cut – Rose cuts.
Colour – H and I.
Clarity – SI2 to I1.
Carat – Each of the larger rose cuts is approximately 0.45 carat, and the smaller are approximately 0.05 carat; a total overall approximate carat weight of 1.00.
Circa – 1935.
Condition – Some nibbling to the edges of the diamonds.
Measurements – From top the bottom the earrings are 22.6mm. The larger rose cut diamonds are approximately 6mm in diameter.
Metal – 18k white and yellow gold. Tested.
