Art Deco 1.08 Carat Fancy Light Yellow Old Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1930

An arresting light fancy yellow old cut diamond in a phenominal setting. Though a first glance this appears to be a classic solitaire, it reveals itself to be actually rather unique. The vibrant diamond of a interesting lemon-y colour, cut by hand into cushion shape, contrasts stunningly with the bright white accent stones in the shoulders. The classic six claw collet has here been modified, where each of the claws splits, creating a unusual and beautiful feature. Spectacular.
