Art Deco 1.55 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1940
An utterly exceptional late Deco engagement ring. The glowingly white cushion shaped old mine cut diamond is secured in a four claw open collet. Each shoulder holds a transitional cut and baguette cut diamond leading a platinum shank interrupted by 18k yellow gold embellishments. A class apart.
Cut – Old mine cut in the centre. Each shoulder holds a round brilliant cut and a baguette cut.
Colour – H. (F to G in the shoulders).
Clarity – VS2. (VS1 to VS2 in the shoulders).
Carat – The central diamond is a known 1.55 carat, with a further estimated 0.45 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1940.
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US) . Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is 7 x 6.4mm and sits 7.4mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum with two 18k yellow gold accents. Stamped.
