Art Deco 1.87 Carat Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940
The glowing red ruby in the centre is bursting with life and vibrancy. This quite stunning stone is rubover set in yellow gold with 15 eight-cut diamonds set in platinum in the surround. The intricate under-gallery leads to an ornate split shoulder band (with two platinum supports either side) on a grooved yellow gold shank. Very, very pretty.
Cut – Mixed cut oval ruby and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are H.
Clarity – The ruby is SI1. The diamonds are VS1.
Carat – The ruby is a known 1.87 carat, with approximately 0.45 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1940.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 16.1mm by 11.4mm and sits 6.4mm from the finger.
