Art Deco 1.55 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1915
A desperately lovely Art Deco engagement ring. The old mine cut diamond in the centre – graded by HRD Antwerp as G colour, SI1 clarity – is exceptionally bright, lively and full of fire. The stone is secured in a six claw open collet with fine, platinum detailing in the gallery. Four (two each side) eight cut diamonds are set in the shoulders, leading to a slim, D-shaped shank.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#190000156858).
Cut – Old mine cut with eight cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – G (G to H in the shoulders).
Clarity – SI1 (VS2 to SI1 in the shoulders).
Carat – 1.55 (with a further approximate 0.05 carat in the shoulders).
Circa – 1915.
Measurements – The diamond is 6.90 x 6.59mm and sits 6.75mm from the finger.
