Art Deco 2.26 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1920
A large chunk of old cut diamond in a fine and delicate platinum mount. The central diamond is eye-catching and envy-inducing, sparkling in even the dimmest of lighting. Set in a fine mount whose graduating shoulders feature three eight diamonds and – a lovely and unusual detail – a laterally set baguette cut sapphire. A stunner.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut. The shoulders have eight cut diamonds and baguette cut sapphires.
Colour – The central diamond is H.
Clarity – SI3. Although there are inclusions, these are not visible to the naked eye.
Carat – 2.26 in the centre, with a further estimated 0.12 carat of diamond and 0.05 carat of sapphire in the shoulders
Circa – 1920.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is 8.1mm by 8.3mm and sits 5.4mm from the finger.
