Art Deco 2.70 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1935
Exceptionally beautiful. The natural, unheated and untreated Ceylon sapphire is glowing bright blue. Bezel set in white gold, the stone sits slightly higher than the fourteen white rose cut diamonds in the surround. The nicely pierced gallery leads to a rose gold shank featuring fleur de lis motifs at the shoulders.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – All the stones are clean when examined with a loupe. VVS2 to VS1.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 2.70 carat, with approximately 0.28 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1935.
Size – P (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 16.75 x 14.6mm. Sits 8.75 from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold and white gold. Stamped and tested.
