Art Deco 5.07 Carat Ceylon Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1920
A sublime antique sapphire solitaire ring. The sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sir Lanka) – displays a rich and vivid blue with an even saturation. The stones is secured in a beautiful platinum collet featuring six split-claws and fine curved detailing in the gallery. Ten (five each side) eight-cut diamond are set in the milgrained shoulders leading to a slender platinum shank.
Accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #5784-1169 stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The is eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 5.07 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.15 carat.
Circa – 1920.
Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 12 x 8.4mm. Sits 6.5mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
