Art Deco 7.02 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1920
A beautiful unheated yellow sapphire ring. The glowing centre stone – certified as natural and unheated – is a bright, sunshiny yellow. The stone is secured by four split claws in an 18k rose gold collet. A pair of bright old European cut diamonds, rubover set in platinum, are set either side of the sapphire. Spear-shaped platinum shoulders lead to a slim, 18k rose gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin..
Cut – Rectangular mixed cut sapphire with old European cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. (The diamonds are VS1.)
Carat – The sapphire is 7.02 carat (with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.32 carat.)
Circa – 1920.
Size – R 1/2 (UK) or 8 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.2 x 9.4mm. Sits 7.5mm from the finger.
