Art Deco 7.28 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1935
A stunning golden yellow sapphire takes centre stage in this late Deco stunner. The yellow sapphire – certified as natural, unheated and Sri Lankan – is impressively bright and vivid, and is secured in milgrained rose gold. A graduating surround of sixteen diamonds are rubover set around the border, with striking half-moon detailing in the gallery. The slim, D-shaped shank splits at the top, with spear-shaped detailing at the shoulders. Absolutely beautiful.
