Art Deco 7.29 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1935
Glowing and hypnotic. The cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire – natural and without heat treatment – is cut in a way to bring real depth to the colour of the stone. The sapphire is rubover set in 18k yellow gold, leading to wonderfully crafted platinum shoulders set with four baguette cut and twenty-two eight cut diamonds, to slim platinum shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire, with baguette cut and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is 7.29 carat, with approximately 0.52 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1935.
Size – I (UK) or 4.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.21 x 7.99mm. Sits 8.7mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. The sapphire is in 18k yellow gold. Tested.
