Art Deco 7.78 Carat Natural Ceylon Cabochon Sapphire Ring, circa 1920
Utterly magical. The cabochon cut sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is a bright, almost otherworldly, blue. The stone is secured in a platinum twelve claw coronet collet, leading to slim and tapering shoulders to a slim platinum shank. A wonderful stone, showcased perfectly.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
