Art Deco Emerald & Old Cut Diamond Three Stone Ring, circa 1935
A distinct and delightfully unusual three stone ring. The centre emerald cut emerald is flanked by two pairs of small rose cut diamonds, with cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds at each end. The nicely pieced white gold “crown” gallery leads to tri-split shoulders to a slim D-shaped yellow gold shank.
Cut – Emerald cut emerald. The two larger diamonds are old mine cuts with two pairs of rose cut diamonds either side of the centre stone.
Colour – Diamonds are J.
Clarity – As is typical with emeralds, there are some visible inclusions in the centre stone. The diamonds are SI1 (clean to the naked eye).
Carat – The emerald is approximately 0.40 carat. Each of the main diamonds is approximately 0.45 carat, with a further estimated 0.12 carat in the accent diamonds.
Circa – 1935.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – From the outer edge of one diamond to the other is 17.8mm. The ring is 6.4mm at the widest point and sits 7.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
