Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Target Cluster Earrings, circa 1930
A sublime pair of vintage earrings. The target cluster which hangs at the bottom of the earrings features seven diamonds in the centre, arranged around a six-pointed star, with a halo of step-cut calibré sapphires in a milgrained channel setting. The clusters drop from a beaded and milgrained bar, set with a further two rose cut diamonds. With lever back closures.
Cut – Rose cut diamonds and calibré cut sapphires.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The sapphires are loupe clean. The diamonds are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Each earring holds approximately 0.06 carat of diamonds, and 0.22 carat of sapphires.
Circa – 1900.
Measurements – Each cluster is approximately 9.6mm in diameter. From the top of the upper diamond set segment to the bottom of the cluster is 22.9mm.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. French hallmarks.
