Edwardian Pearl, Emerald & Diamond Pin Brooch, circa 1910
A sublime antique pin brooch. The natural pearl in the centre is flanked by a pair of rubover set rose cut diamonds, and sits with a marquise shaped surround with alternating sections of Colombian emeralds and rose cut diamonds. Each end of the central cluster is accented by a rubover set old cut diamond, leading to a tapering bar which is set with a further three rose cut diamonds each side.
Cut – The two larger rubover set diamonds are old mine cuts, the remaining diamonds are rose cuts. The emeralds are square step-cuts.
Colour – The diamonds range from F to I.
Clarity – The diamonds range from VS1 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – A total approximate diamond weight of 0.22 carat. A total approximate emerald weight of 0.08 carat.
Circa – 1910.
Measurements – The pin is 42.3mm long and 6mm at the widest point.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested.
