Edwardian Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Five Stone Ring, dated 1910
A wonderful example of a classic early 20th century style. The trio of blood red rubies are interspaced by a pair of bright and lively old cut diamonds. Fine carving in the gallery leads to a 3mm D-shaped shank.
Hallmarks from the Birmingham Assay (UK), 1910. The internal engraving [JT to MJ] can be removed if you prefer.
Cut – The centre ruby is oval, with two round rubies at the ends. The diamonds are old mine cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are I.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI2; all the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – A total estimated ruby weight of 0.16 carat with approximately 0.15 carat of diamonds.
Dated – 1910.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – From the edge of the outer most ruby to the other is 11.5mm. The ring is 7.1mm at the widest point and sits 3.4mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Hallmarked (Birmingham, 1910).
