Late 20th Century 1.50 Carat Emerald Cut Ruby & Diamond Ring, circa 1975

As pretty as it is unusual, this ruby and diamond cluster ring makes a serious impression. The deep, dramatic crimson ruby is set in yellow gold, with ten 0.10 carat high white brilliant cut diamonds arranged in the white gold surround. Perhaps the most striking aspect of the ring is the high, open gallery, allowing the cluster to sit proudly on the finger.

Cut – Emerald cut ruby and brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – Diamonds are G.

Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the ruby (this is common for rubies). The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The ruby is approximately 1.50 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carat.
