Late 20th Century 1.73 Carat Natural Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring, dated 1972

A stunner of an opal ring. The natural, untreated opal has an impressively lively play of colour, with clear and distinct flashes of green, orange and gold. The stone is claw set within a surround of fourteen round brilliant cut diamond in a white gold coronet cluster, leaned to a slim and tapering 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by an opal report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory confirming the opal is natural and not treated.

Cut – Oval cabochon opal and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The opal is 1.73 carat with a total approximate diamond weight is 0.42 carat

Dated – 1972.

Size – I (i) 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The opal is 11 x 7.5mm. The head of the ring is 16.6 x 14.1mm and sits 8.75mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k yellow and white gold. Hallmarked.
