Late 20th Century Old Cut & Brilliant Cut Diamond Half Hoop Ring, French, circa 1980
A strikingly beautiful ring. The centre cushion shaped old cut diamond ring is flanked by a pair brilliant cut diamonds, with two pairs of eight-cut spacing diamonds between the three “main” stones. A delightful scrolling gallery leads to carved shoulders to a D-shaped shank. A Victorian style ring brought into the 20th century with a French twist.
Cut – The centre stone is an old mine / miner cut. The two outer stones are brilliant cuts, with four eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The centre diamond is I, the outer stones are G..
Clarity – VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The centre is approximately 0.50, with a total estimated carat weight of 0.93.
Circa – 1980.
Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – From the edge of one outer diamond to the other is 17mm. The ring is 5.8mm at the widest point and sits 4.8mm from the finger.
