A wonderful vintage sapphire solitaire ring. The Sri Lankan sapphire in the centre displays an incredibly bright and eye catching vivid blue, and is mounted in a six-claw platinum collet with subtle heart-motifs in the gallery. Six (three each side) round brilliant cut diamonds are set in platinum shoulders, leading to a D-shaped 18k white gold shank. A wonderful alternative a traditional solitaire engagement ring.
Accompanied by a report from AGL (Sri Lanka).
Cut – Round mixed cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds in the shoulders.
Colour – Vivid blue. The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat –The sapphire is approximately 1.26 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.12 carat.
Circa – 1970.
Measurements – The sapphire is 6.41 x 6.39mm. Sits 5.9mm from the finger.
Size – R (UK) or 8 5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – The sapphire and the diamonds are set in platinum. On an 18k white gold shank. Stamped 18CT PLAT, and tested.
