Mid Century 3.65 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1950
A unheated sapphire that displays the most perfect blue. The unusually centre stone – cut like a rose cut diamond, flat on the bottom at faceted on the top – is a glowingly regal blue. Rubover set in yellow gold, the sapphire is surrounded by sixteen white and bright eight-cut diamonds. The pretty detailing in the gallery leads to a slim white gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
