Mid Century 3.73 Carat Ceylon Purple Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1950
A most delightful purple sapphire ring. The beautiful centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – displays a soft, lilac hue. The stone is mounted in a six claw collet with scrolled heart motifs in the gallery, leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a Sapphire Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye.
Carat – 3.73.
Circa – 1950.
