Mid Century 4.17 Carat Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1950
A vintage sapphire ring of true class. The cushion cut sapphire in the centre – weighing a known 4.17 carat – is a fine, royal blue. The stone is claw set within a surround of sixteen old mine cut diamonds of graduating sizes, each in a rubover setting. Beautiful ornate wire detailing in the gallery leads to a slender platinum shank with double-ridged shoulders. Crafted in platinum.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds .
Colour – The diamonds are G to K.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The sapphire is 4.17 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.52 carat.
Circa – 1950.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 9.8 x 8mm. The head of the ring is 15.5 x 13.2mm and sits 7.3mm from the finger.
