Mid Century 5.70 Carat Natural Ceylon Yellow Sapphire Ring, circa 1955
A frankly breathtaking natural Ceylon sapphire with a strong, golden hue. The unheated stone is secured in a four claw setting, and flanked by a pair of white and bright round brilliant cut diamonds within asymmetrical half-moon settings. Within the split shank is a hammered white gold embellishment, leading to a flat yellow gold shank. Exquisite.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire. The diamonds are round brilliant cuts.
Colour – Strong yellow. The diamond are G.
Clarity – SI; clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are SI1 and I1.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 5.70 carat. Each diamond is approximately 0.15 carat.
Circa – 1955.
Size – J (UK) or 4 5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 13 x 8.5mm. Sits 5.9mm from the finger.
