Mid Century Burmese Jade & Eight Cut Diamond Brooch, circa 1955
There is nothing about this piece that isn’t phenomenal. The five cabochon jades which are the main feature of the brooch are a glowing grassy green, and are claw set atop sweeping white gold ribbons set with a total of 59 colourless and dazzling diamonds. Desperately beautiful.
Cut – Oval cabochon jade stones and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are E to F.
Clarity – Diamonds are VVS.
Carat – The total approximate jade weight is 7.00 carat, with an approximate total diamond weight of 0.75 carat
Circa – 1955.
Measurements – The brooch is 62mm by 26.8mm.
Metal – 14k gold. Tested.
