Victorian 0.65 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, Birmingham, dated 1888
A stunning gentleman’s Victorian diamond solitaire which would look equally fantastic on a lady. The diamond here is exceptional, very white and clean for a diamond from this era. Held by eight claws with an exagerated split between two of the claws which travels down the shoulders of the ring.
Clear hallmarks from the Birmingham (UK) assay office, dated 1888.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut.
Colour – G.
Clarity – VS2.
Carat – Approximately 0.65 carat.
Circa – 1900.
Condition – Evidence of a resize, but in fine condition considering the ring’s age.
Size – Currently P (UK) or 7 1/2 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is 5.5mm in diameter.
Metal – 18k gold. Fully hallmarked.
