Victorian 0.65 Carat Old Cut & Rose Cut Diamond Brooch, circa 1880
A glorious Victorian diamond brooch. The brooch takes on a circular form with a sweeping foliate style motifs set with a total of 24 rose cut diamonds of graduating sizes. At the centre is a bright 0.35 carat (approx.) old mine cut diamond, from which burst six rays, each with a rose cut diamonds at the end. A fine example of Victorian craftsmanship
Cut – Old mine cut in the centre. The remaining diamonds are rose cuts.
Colour – H to I.
Clarity – The centre is VS2. The rose cuts range from VS2 to SI2.
Carat – The centre is approximately 0.35 carat, with a further approximate 0.30 carat of rose cut diamonds.
Circa – 1880
Measurements – 26.75 x 30.75mm.
Metal – 18k gold and silver. Tested.
