Victorian 1.20 Carat Sapphire & 0.65 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1860
This Victorian sapphire ring is exceptional in every way. The rich, blue cushion cut sapphire is surrounded by ten high white old mine cut diamonds. Set nice and low to the finger on a simple gallery which leads to a gloriously ornate asymmetrical band. The engraving to the inside of the band has rubbed, but shows the date “March” on one side and “1858” on the other. A wonderful and rare find.
Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30307815).
