Victorian 1.85 Carat Sapphire & 0.82 Carat Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1900
A majestic Victorian sapphire ring. The glowing, cornflower blue sapphire in the centre is secured in a frankly amazing setting; each of the eight claws holding the sapphire is topped with a rose cut diamond. The ornate surround features 16 old mine cut diamonds, with the four stones set at the compass points set in lotus-flower-shaped settings. On fluted 18k yellow gold shank which splits at the shoulders.
Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30310340).
Cut – Oval cut sapphire with rose cut and old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds range from F to I.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.85 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.82 carat.
Circa – 1900
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 9 x 7.2mm. The head of the ring is 21.1 x 18.5mm and sits 8.3mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The gems are set in silver. Tested.
