Victorian 2.50 Carat Natural Sapphire Five Stone Ring, circa 1870

Sublime. Five natural and unheated sapphires of graduating size in the quite breathtaking half-hoop ring. The stones are held in open “U” collets and reinforced by eight “hidden” claws. A stunningly constructed ring; equally stunning on the eye.
Cut – Cushion shaped mixed cuts.
Clarity – All the stones are clear to the naked eye.
Carat – Approximate total of 2.50.
Circa – 1870.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Condition – Some slight abrading to the sapphires, commensurate with the ring’s age.
Measurements – From the outer edge of one sapphire to the other is 21mm. The ring is 7.3mm at the widest point and sits 4.6mm from the finger.
Metal – 18ct gold. Tested.
