Victorian 1.93 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1890

A fantastic and unique Victorian yellow sapphire ring. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is a bright, sunshine yellow and is rubover set in 18k yellow gold collet. The wide, reverse tapering shoulders are set on each side with three diamonds (one old mine cut and two eight-cuts) leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire. The diamonds are old mine cuts and eight-cuts

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity – The sapphire is slightly included. (The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.)

Carat – The sapphire is 1.93 carat (with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.14 carat.)

Circa – 1890.

Size – I (i) 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 6.28 x 6.95mm. Sits 5.6mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
