Mid Century 1.50 Carat Natural Pink Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1950
A sublime and elegant unheated pink sapphire and diamond ring. The cushion shaped sapphire in the centre – certified as natural and unheated – displays a perfect flamingo pink. The stone is surrounded by twenty-three white and bright eight-cut diamonds in rubover settings. The gems sit atop a finely pierced double gallery which, despite the amount of detail in it, sits nice and low to the finger. On a slim 18k white gold band which splits at the shoulders.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. (The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.)
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.50 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.46 carat.
Circa – 1950.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 8.2 x 6.6. The head of the ring is 13.25 x 11.6 and sits 4.2mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
